Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

A recent gathering in Madrid brought together community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, hosted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and respect. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, a specialist from the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how mutual knowledge can strengthen coexistence.

During the event, participants considered themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
